Project Black Box LLC
This Privacy Policy explains how Project Black Box LLC (“Project Black Box,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with this website (the “Site”). We built this Site to inform, not to harvest. We collect as little as possible, and we do not sell your data.
The Site is largely static. When you visit, our hosting and content-delivery provider automatically records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the date and time of your request. This information is used to operate the Site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate traffic. It is not used to build a personal profile of you.
If the Site offers an interactive demonstration that accepts text you type, that text may be processed briefly to produce a response and to keep the demonstration working. We do not use it to identify you, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising networks that track you across the web. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from ordinary browsing.
The Site uses only the cookies or local storage necessary for basic operation and security. It does not use cookies for cross-site advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.
We use a hosting and content-delivery provider (a content delivery network) to serve and protect the Site. That provider processes technical request data on our behalf under its own security and privacy practices. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operation, and then discarded or aggregated. We keep the minimum necessary.
We take reasonable measures to protect the Site and any data it processes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we collect so little and do not sell data, these situations will be rare, but you may contact us to make a request and we will respond as required by applicable law.
This Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version on the Site with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
